Internship – ENR Development Project Manager Assistant

Context:
ADEN (SME created in 2017) is a company working in the renewable energy sector on behalf of major principals in the sector. We carry out assignments on subjects relating to renewable electricity production in both the development and implementation phases of projects. We’re a small but growing team, with a staff of 13. Our business is growing steadily and we’re regularly recruiting new staff. Our team is young, and the transfer of skills is encouraged by a good capacity for communication and exchange between all the employees, enabling each new arrival to be integrated quickly and effectively. As part of our development, we work in partnership with our customers and independent experts to identify potential renewable energy production sites and develop them. Wind power, photovoltaics, methanisation and storage are our main areas of focus, and we operate on the French market. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team of Project Managers for a minimum period of 5 months. As part of the team, you will play an active role in the earliest stages of project development, such as identifying sites, securing land and initial contacts with the local area. You will work on GIS tools and related or business applications to carry out these tasks in support of the existing team and acquire the core skills that are useful in our business.

Tasks entrusted to the trainee :
The assistant project manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Identification of zones by analysis of constraints
  • Requests for easements
  • Site visits
  • Land identification and reservation
  • Project management in the upstream phase
  • Technical assistance for calls for expressions of interest
  • Reporting

In addition to this main assignment, the trainee will be involved in one or more cross-functional assignments for the Company.

Skills required :
Project management and ability to communicate with :

  • A general knowledge of spatial planning and the energy sector
  • Notions of project development and the ability to plan one’s activity
  • Good interpersonal skills when dealing with a varied public (farmers, town councils, administration, in-house teams, etc.).

Profile required:

Bac +5 (Agricultural engineering school/Master’s degree in the field of the environment, town and country planning, project management)
